Humane Environmental Education, Scottsdale, Arizona

Mission
Humane Environmental Education (HEED®) raises awareness of humane and environmental issues and inspires education and action through innovative HEED® programs, resources, research, and information.

History

Humane Environmental Education (HEED®) was founded in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2011 by a certified environmental education professional, to create more environmentally healthy, compassionate, inclusive and sustainable communities.  We officially became a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 2013.  Our innovative (HEED®) Model and Theory, educational Programs, Research, and Resources were designed as an intergenerational resource for teachers, schools, community organizations, businesses, visual and performing artists, and community members of all ages interested in creating a more compassionate and sustainable world.

It is our goal to continue leading the field and expanding upon our original and innovative HEED® education model while growing to fit the changing needs of our local communities.
